Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Solio Ip (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the Solio Lookbook Magazine WordPress plugin and the website soliolookbook.com (the “Website”). By using the Website or our plugin, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Overview

We are committed to collecting as little personal data as possible. The plugin itself is designed to run entirely on your own WordPress installation — your lookbook content (pages, images, product data) is stored in your own database and never sent to us or to any third-party server.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Website visitors (soliolookbook.com)

  • Standard server logs — like virtually all websites, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically logs technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and operational purposes. These logs are retained for a limited period by the host.
  • Cookies — the Website uses only the cookies technically required by WordPress to function. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • Contact form — if you contact us through the contact form or by email, we receive the information you choose to provide (name, email address, message). We use it solely to respond to your enquiry.

2.2 Plugin users (lookbook creators)

When you install and use the Solio Lookbook Magazine plugin on your own WordPress site:

  • Your content — all lookbooks, pages, images and settings you create are stored in your own site’s database. We have no access to them.
  • License information (Pro version) — if you purchase the Pro version, your purchase and license data (name, email address, license key, and site URL) is processed by a third-party commerce platform specialized in WordPress plugins. This data is needed to deliver your license, enable plugin updates, and process your payment. This provider acts as an independent controller of its own records, and its own privacy policy applies — it is presented to you at checkout.
  • Usage diagnostics — the plugin may send limited, non-personal technical data (e.g. plugin version, WordPress version, PHP version) to support updates and improvements. No lookbook content, images, or visitor data from your site is ever transmitted.

2.3 Lookbook visitors (your end-users)

  • The plugin’s flipbook viewer does not set tracking cookies, does not use third-party advertising scripts, and does not send your visitors’ data anywhere.
  • If you enable the optional analytics feature in the plugin, viewing statistics (page views and unique session counts) are stored in your own WordPress database and are not shared with us or any third party.
  • The plugin may set a short-lived technical cookie on your visitors’ browsers to distinguish unique sessions for those statistics. This cookie contains no personal identification.

3. What We Do NOT Do

We do not see or store your full payment card details — payments are handled by specialized payment processors.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

We do not run advertising networks or cross-site trackers.

We do not have access to the lookbook content created on your website.

We do not collect data from the visitors of the lookbooks you publish.

4. Third-Party Services

Payments and licensing (Pro version) — Pro purchases, license keys, plugin updates and optional usage statistics are processed by a specialized third-party commerce platform for WordPress plugins. When you make a Pro purchase, your name, email address, license key and site URL are shared with this provider solely to deliver the license, enable updates and process your payment. This provider’s own privacy policy applies to its processing, and is presented to you at checkout. We never see or store your full payment card details.

Website hosting — our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) at server level for security and operational purposes.

Google Fonts — when the Playfair Display font option is selected, the font is loaded from Google’s font servers. Your IP address is necessarily transmitted to Google as part of that request.

5. Data Retention

  • Contact form emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry.
  • Server logs are retained by our host per their standard retention period.
  • License records are retained by Freemius for as long as your license is active or as required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g. EU/EEA under GDPR, California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, or to object to its processing. You may also request information about what data is collected, and withdraw any consent previously given.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at soliolookbook@soliolookbook.com . We will respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law (in most cases within 30 days).

Please note that we can only fulfil requests for data that we control or process. Data held solely by third-party payment or licensing providers (acting as independent controllers of their own records) may need to be requested from those providers directly — we will point you to the right contact if that applies.

7. Security

The Website is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any information we handle. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Website and plugin are not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Website or plugin after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
